Day 3

Time really flies....nevertheless, we are still psyched for more shopping!

Today bearie had fried rice for breakfast...

While i had pad thai....which is really yummy!

First thing, we head to Pratunam Market. However, many stores are still closed at this point of time so we didnt really comb through the area.

A view of Bangkok traffic...which is always crowded and extremely slow-moving.

Bearie took an interesting shot of a cat lazing around in the hot and humid afternoon.

After shopping at Indra Sq, Baiyoke Towers, City Complex and Pratunam Market, we head to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Pic below taken in a cab,

The traditional tuk tuk - another form of taxi transport in Bkk :D

On our way there, we caught a glimpse of the HUGE ferris wheel at Suan Lum. But pity we didnt take a ride on it cos someone was scared :P

Some interesting stuff we saw at Suan Lum. This place really has pretty stuff that's quite different from the things we saw at other places. The clothes were nice as well. Some interesting lanterns we saw....

Bear cant resist taking a pic of himself in the mirror at one of the shoe shops :PA nice structure we saw at Suan Lum. At first i thought it was a toilet...apparently it wasnt...oops.

DAY 4

Our trip is fast coming to an end...and we are starting to feel reluctant to go home and back to reality...hence the unhappy faces...

Decided to have a good, "expensive" meal during our last day. So we went to the Pizza Company to have pizza.

The decor at The Pizza Company was pretty nice. Very posh for something which is supposed to be similar to Pizza Hut.

They even had a pretty dandelion on every table...isnt that sweeeet?

We also had a pretty nice view of Siam Paragon from here...
Our yummy food...ordered stuffed calamari....and a super deluxe pizza. I love the pizza, the crust is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside...the perfect combi!

Bearie enjoying his food. Look at how happy he is...huhuhu

After our meal we head to Siam Paragon for some lingerie shopping at their infamous department store with an enormous selection. Along the way, we cant help taking a few more pics....

Bearie here with the king's photo structure.

Me at the leafy structure inside Siam Paragon...

On our way to the department store, we spotted Swensens!!! Cant resist stopping by for a nice sundae for dessert! The menu showed that each sundae cost only 99 baht...which amounts to SGD $4'+, and so we cant help but order one sundae each inside of sharing one...huhu...

This was what i had - "Banana a-la mode"....with my favourite bananas!!

Bearie enjoying his "Frosted Chocolate Malt" !

Even their swensens glass is nicer than ours :D

Sigh...it's time to head home. We got a big scare on our trip to the airport. Despite leaving 2 hours and 45 mins prior to our flight, we met with a HUGE traffic jam that caused us to take 1h 30 mins instead of the usual 30 mins to the airport. The cabby fail to understand our question of "how long does it take to reach the airport" and caused more confusion as a result. By the time we reached the airport, the check in counter had closed, but the girl at the counter was kind enough to let us go in. It was then then i realised our watches were slow all along, we were about 20 minutes behing the normal Bkk time. When we finally got on the plane, there was a huge sigh of relief. We were glad to board the plane though we were reluctant to head home...

Upset to head back to reality again....

reality shock
My Bkk trip did materialise after all. Thanks to a last minute change in decision, the trip was brought forward by a day. It resulted in a mad rush to get ready for the trip at 12 am in the morning for a 12 pm flight in the afternoon and we made it.

Bkk is really a shopping haven and paradise for all girls. But guys might find it mentally and physically challenging to scour through rows and rows of shops in a HUGe shopping centre filled with 1300 shops day after day. And i'm not surprised.

Nevertheless, I had an enjoyable 4-day stay in Bkk. Saw many interesting things and experienced alot during my first trip to a country which doesnt speak my native languages. First time in a foreign country with a foreign language...it was interesting really.

DAY 1

All psyched up for our first flight from Budget Terminal...which had absolutely no frills.

View of Budget Terminal from our plane window.

Smile and I'm ready to go!

Bkk is not just good for its shopping. I love the food too! Having duck noodles at Platinum Mall. Interestingly, the portions are considerably smaller than what im used to. And the food contains less oil too. No wonder the thai girls are soo slim. Oooh...and the food is cheap too! This bowl cost me just 30 baht!

Bearie having fried noodles here....

At central world...the posh looking shopping centre with loads of white space and an interesting yellow sculpture...

DAY 2

Our nice breakfast! Bearie had American breakfast....

While I had noodles soup with chicken....yummy :D

Bearie looks lost....

Time for some serious shopping! We start off the day with a trip to Chatuchak Weekend Market. First to the Ratchathewi Skytrain Station....

The skytrain approaching our station....

Naughty bearie took a pic of a lady asleep on the train...

And here we are at M0 Chit Station, ready for Chatuchak!

And here we are at Chatuchak! This place is H U G E man. Had a hard time navigating around and end up walking in circles round the same area. The heat is terrible too....gave me a headache...

This shop sells really pretty clutches, but doesn't come cheap though. Bought one at 130 baht. Had fun bargaining with the girl though :D

Aint this little flower pretty? I love this loads! But did not buy it cos i have no idea where to place this. Couldnt resist taking a picture with it!

Bearie the devil...haha

Bearie was fascinated by the interesting lanterns that were on sale. They were cheap too...only about 400 baht.

Cute shoe shaped bags on sale :D

You can find almost anything at Chatuchak. And here are some cute little pets for sale at low low prices.

Interesting sight on our way back from CTC. Note the umbrella :P

Bearie looking extremely contented with all his shopping after a long day.
